Private house "Altai"
Location: Altai
Area:450 m2
Year: 2023
Designing and creating a country house in the Altai region is a unique challenge, one that requires a sensitive approach to both the exceptional natural landscape of Altai and the owners’ desire to create a warm, welcoming retreat.
The house is located in one of the most picturesque areas of Altai and is conceived as a contemporary chalet that integrates seamlessly into its surrounding environment.
The project was designed as a guest house intended for the temporary stays of the owners and their friends during holidays. At the same time, the possibility of rental use was considered from the outset, making the house a versatile space that balances the comfort of a private retreat with a high level of functionality. The key objective of the project was to emphasize the natural beauty of the Altai region and to create an atmosphere of harmony and connection with nature.

The project exclusively features natural materials. Wooden flooring, wood ceiling finishes, and the use of natural stone create a harmonious dialogue with the surrounding landscape, bringing warmth and a sense of authenticity to the interior.
Despite the extensive use of wood, the house is filled with natural light thanks to large windows and a double-height ceiling in the living area. This architectural solution enhances the feeling of openness and strengthens the connection with the outdoors, allowing the natural scenery to become an integral part of the interior experience.
The interior also features bold accent elements that introduce dynamism and a strong sense of individuality to the space. Alongside the natural tones of wood and stone, the clients wished to incorporate richer, more saturated hues into the overall palette.
Color was introduced primarily through furniture: a vibrant sofa, accent armchairs, and colored kitchen fronts bring energy and visual interest to the interior.

In the bedrooms, individual walls were highlighted with color. Natural shades of blue, deep navy, and terracotta were used, harmonizing seamlessly with the overall character of the house.
An abundance of wooden furniture, wall panels, and timber details in the décor not only added warmth to the interior but also reinforced a strong connection with nature.
Throughout this project, our goal was to create a calm and harmonious environment where a contemporary chalet aesthetic is intertwined with natural beauty, offering ideal conditions for rest and for fully experiencing the unique atmosphere of the Altai region.
