An Apartment in the Center of Saint Petersburg for a Young Family of Four
This project holds particular significance for our studio.
We had previously designed an interior for this family, and it was a pleasure to continue our collaboration. Such long-term cooperation is always a reflection of trust and a shared understanding that naturally develops through working closely together.
After years of living in a spacious country house, the family chose to relocate to an apartment in the heart of the city. While the new space is more compact, our primary objective was clear — to preserve a sense of comfort, natural light, and spatial freedom. We set out to create an interior that offers each family member a sense of privacy, while also providing thoughtfully designed shared areas for gathering, entertaining guests, and enjoying everyday moments together.
The concept of the project is rooted in contemporary classic design, complemented by subtle vintage accents. The design process evolved in a calm and intuitive manner: we already had a deep understanding of the clients’ preferences, their perception of space, and the elements that truly resonate with them.

The foundation of the project is contemporary classic design enriched with subtle vintage accents. The work progressed naturally and effortlessly, as we already had a clear understanding of what resonates with the clients, how they perceive space, and what feels intuitively right to them.
The interior is built around a light, almost pastel palette that fills the rooms with a sense of air and openness. We chose simple, tactilely pleasing materials, deliberately avoiding excessive ornamentation. The walls are predominantly painted, while wallpaper was introduced in the bedrooms to create a softer, warmer atmosphere.
As the owners have a long-standing passion for art, it was essential to create a neutral backdrop that would allow their collection to fully unfold. Paintings and sculptures became an integral part of the architecture, seamlessly woven into everyday life.
The homeowner also has a strong passion for vintage pieces, which we carefully integrated into the contemporary setting. These objects, rich in history, add depth, character, and a subtle sense of time to the interior.
The search for the right elements required considerable effort, but it was precisely these details that allowed the space to acquire a distinct identity.

Particular attention was given to the bathrooms. For us, it was essential not only to carefully consider functionality, but also to create an atmosphere of privacy and calm. For example, the master bathroom was designed as a space for evening relaxation after a working day. A vintage mirror, discovered after a long and thoughtful search, added a subtle sense of history to the space — that distinctive layer which brings an interior to life.

As a result, the apartment turned out light-filled, well-balanced, and deeply personal. The transition from a large country house was smooth — the scale of the space changed, but not its character. It continues to embody comfort, calm, and the distinctive warmth of a family home, now reinterpreted in the very heart of the city
