Аpartment Pionerskay st.
Location: Saint-Petersburg
Area:46 m2
Year: 2022
A two-level apartment located in the heart of Saint Petersburg, featuring exceptionally high ceilings, panoramic windows, and a spacious terrace overlooking a distinctive urban landscape. The project was conceived as contemporary apartments for a young professional accustomed to the dynamic rhythm of city life — working extensively, traveling frequently, and spending much of his time outside the home.
At the same time, it was essential for the client that the apartment serve as a welcoming place for entertaining guests, enjoying shared moments over home-cooked dinners, and listening to vinyl records from his personal collection — rare editions brought back from his travels around the world.
Another key objective of the project was to integrate the client’s collection of books, artworks, and decorative objects acquired during his journeys, while maintaining a sense of visual lightness and restraint. The interior was therefore designed to remain refined and uncluttered, allowing each element to find its place without overwhelming the space.

Although the apartment is located in a new, contemporary building, our intention was to emphasize its setting within the historic city center. To achieve this, we introduced classical elements into the finishes, such as plaster ceiling rosettes and other ornamental moldings. It was important to infuse the modern interior with a sense of heritage, doing so in a subtle, refined, and elegant manner.

The furniture selection was intentionally kept minimal and restrained, featuring simple geometric forms and crafted from natural, warm materials. The number of furnishings was deliberately limited to only the most essential and functional pieces in order to maintain a sense of openness and avoid visual clutter.
Although the living area is relatively compact, the space was carefully planned, including the placement of the staircase leading to the second floor. This thoughtful layout made it possible to accommodate even a small piano beneath the staircase.
The restrained design of the furniture was complemented by carefully selected decorative objects, lighting fixtures, and works of art.
